• The 10th, especially near the Canal Saint-Martin, is the bobo capital of Paris. Basically the South Brooklyn of Paris.

• The 9th, near Pigalle, is grittier and a little younger. Basically the North Brooklyn/Bushwick of Paris.

• The 18th, farther north near Montmartre, is more settled but also more touristy.
